Archivite Architecture (Previously Studio of Architectural Urbanism)), has its inception since 2014. We are a team of 20 architects & engineers with strong capacity and skill set matching ardent requirements of our clientele.

We focus on residential, industrial, commercial & CSR projects. We are associated as architectural consultants for leading energy projects, eco friendly consultants for residential projects in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and CSR consultants for several Ngo’s and trusts.

Karthikeyan Nachiappan

An architect and Urbanist graduated from the Architectural Association, London. His immense pleasure in studying the roots of urban development led him to specialize in Housing & Urbanism. He is a research member and fellow in ATINER (Athens Institute of National Education & Research) and has also published articles and essays on the issues of informal housing, density & urbanism, Infotopia (informal Utopia), Housing Typologies of Chettinad & Housing policies. He has presented in various national & international forums.

He is founding partner of his studio Archivite Architecture, located in, Chennai & Ooty. With 10 years in the field after graduation he has diversified his knowledge and experience in different roots exploring architecture, interior, urban design, alternative materials and corporate social responsibility projects. Other than the design and CSR projects, Archivite is establishing a slow pace in construction technologies and design build. At Archivite they follow a fascination for investigative spatial research focusing on the productive interior environments and the influence of built form on the everyday lives of its inhabitants and users. They believe every design is unique and is a resultant of an in-depth analytical research, whilst also challenging the existing thinking strategies and evolving exciting design solutions.

His passion towards architecture & teaching has placed him in a position of Guest faculty at Sathyabama School of Architecture & a part of various design panels in other institutions across Tamil Nadu.
